Abbe Easton
Abbe Easton is a designer from North Florida. She is drawn to the field of design because of her love for craft and an affinity for alternative solutions to global problems. When she is not in the studio, Abbe likes to be outside exploring her environment. This is where she draws a particular awareness for climate issues and a passion for thinking about alternative solutions to how we lead our lives in a grander scheme.
It is at the intersection of design and climate change that Abbe feels she can improve the world. Poor design underpins many of the environmental issues we currently encounter. She is interested in considering how the use of sustainable materials like bamboo or the re purposing of old materials like industrial machinery can be used to change the dialogue surrounding what is possible with things we already have in abundance. Often times these become pieces that are artistic as they invoke an awareness of what could be and an appreciation of what already is.
