In landscape design, I designed and built a model for a pavilion to give students a space to
view and interact with nature. The natural interaction was the point of emphasis for my
project because of the access to natural beauty that is so bountiful at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and more specifically - in the wet lands. I built the pavilion as vertical as possible to flow into the surrounding landscape.
My vision for the pavilion project was to design a space that would not damage the protected land surrounding it. I wanted to create an environment that would serve as space that would allow people to enjoy the environment without harming it.  Using GIS, I was able to navigate where the wetlands are located on the site. I used that information to place the location of the pavilion.
